FRIENDS OF FRIENDS

Jonathan Baker, Alexander Buzzalini, John Charnota, Leslie Rogers, Victoria Shaheen, all Detroit-based artists worked in collaboration with Jason Yates to produce works in leather, paint, wood, fiber, and clay that are included as part of “Homemade Ice Cream”.

Each collaborator is a master of their respective craft and deeply involved in the Detroit art community. As established artists in their own right, “Friends of Friends” brings together an exhibition of current work from all five artists. Following the mission of Wasserman Projects, these three exhibitions highlight the importance of building relationships, providing opportunities, and supporting artists to realize projects that would not otherwise be possible.
